Meatballs in spicy tomato sauce

Ingredients (4 serves):

300 g lean ground beef
1 egg
1 onion
1 clove garlic
1 pinch of red pepper flakes
slice bread soaked in milk
breadcrumbs
chopped parsley
400 ml tomato sauce
extra virgin olive oil
milk salt

 

Procedure:

Peel and chop the garlic and onion.
Combine the ground beef with garlic and onion, the milk- soaked bread, egg and chopped parsley.
Mix thoroughly and form into small meatballs ( appetizer sized)
Coat in breadcrumbs and fry lightly in small amount of olive oil.
Add the meatballs to the tomato sauce and simmer very gently for a few minutes.
